What we rent, besides purifiers

Most people find us through RO on rent, so it is worth saying plainly: we rent household appliances across Delhi NCR too, and they follow the same rule as the purifiers. The machine, the fitting, the servicing and the repairs are ours; you pay one monthly number and nothing else.

Every one of those is a seasonal appliance in this city, which is the whole argument for renting rather than buying one. A geyser earns its keep from October to March. A heater from December to February. An air purifier through the stubble-burning and winter-inversion window, roughly mid-October to late February. For the rest of the year a bought appliance is capital sitting in a store room, ageing out of warranty.

Geysers: size it by bathrooms, not by brand

A 10 litre unit suits one bathroom on light use, 15 litres a family bathroom, and 25 litres two bathrooms sharing hot water. Rent is ₹650, ₹750 and ₹850 a month respectively on a 3-month plan, falling to ₹450, ₹550 and ₹650 on twelve. Fitting includes the wall bracket, the plumbing, the electrical hookup, a pressure-release valve and an MCB, and the element, the thermostat and the winter descaling are covered for as long as you keep it.

Heaters: a radiator for the night, a blower for the room

An oil-filled radiator has no exposed element and runs almost silently, which is why it is the one to sleep with and the one to choose if there are children in the house. A 9-fin unit holds a standard bedroom; go 11-fin for a large, top-floor or north-facing room. A blower puts fast heat into a small room or a bathroom and is better in short bursts than overnight.

Air purifiers: rent the filters, not just the box

The part of an air purifier that does the work is the filter set, and it is the recurring cost most buyers postpone until the machine is quietly blowing dirty air back into the room. On rent the full set is replaced free each season. The units are H13 True HEPA with an activated carbon stage and a live PM2.5 readout, so you can watch the number fall rather than take our word for it.

A 6-month plan at ₹950 a month covers mid-October to late February comfortably; ₹850 a month on a 12-month plan is the cheapest per-month rate if you would rather keep it through the year. We collect the unit at the end of the season, so nothing goes into storage.

When renting an appliance is the wrong call

Renting suits seasonal use, rented flats, PGs, hostels, and anyone who does not want a repair bill landing in January. It does not suit everyone. If you own the home you live in, and the appliance will run every year for the next decade, buying it outright is cheaper over that horizon, and the honest advice is to buy.
